Samuel Wagoner

Samuel Wagoner, 90, of Shoals, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at The Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington.
He was born March 7, 1930 in Shoals, Indiana to the late Roscoe and Isola (Stevens) Wagoner.
Sam married Alma Hollen on May 4, 1955 and she survives.
He was a United States Army veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He received an associate degree from Vincennes University. Prior to Sam’s retirement he worked as a mechanic for Ford Town and the Martin County Highway Department. He loved spending time with his family, squirrel hunting and playing the guitar. He attended Weisbach Community Church.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Isola (Stevens) Wagoner and brother, Paul (Eileen) Wagoner.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Wagoner of Shoals; children, Doug (Shannon) Wagoner and Sherri Brett, both of Shoals; grandchildren, Kevin (Mary Beth) Brett, Ashley (Thomas) Brett-Kerr and Evan Wagoner; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Katie and Charlie Brett and Mason and Austin Kerr.
Private family services will be held Monday, October 19, 2020 at Blake Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
