A Lawrenceville, Illinois man has been sentenced for his role in a murder case. Robert Huchinson was accused of killing Christopher Melton of Vincennes while attempting to commit burglary nearly five years ago. Authorities said Melton was found dead in his home back in 2015. Huchinson was sentenced to 25 years with 20 being served in prison and the other 5 on probation. The case had been delayed due to the death of one of the co-defendants and the conclusion of a federal trial for another. The case has now been officially closed.
