Melissa Joy Byers, 41, of Loogootee passed away on Monday October 12, 2020 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana.
She was born on August 18, 1979 in Columbus, Indiana to Raymond and Peggy (Bateman) Byers.
Melissa was a wonderful person who loved to have fun and spend time with her friends and family. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Beyers, and her uncle Russell Mayer.
Melissa is survived by her companion, Mark Stone, sons; Dylan (Matalynn) Byers, Cody Stone, her mother, Peggy Byers, her grandchildren; Stella Byers, Zeppelin Byers, her brother, Tim (Melissa) Byers, her aunt Betty Mayer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cremation was chosen according to her wishes.
