Yesterday afternoon, around 4:30 p.m. the Indiana State Police and Pike County Fire Departments fought a large field fire of undetermined origins near the 54 mile marker on the south bound lanes of I-69. With the extremely dry weather conditions, please be cautious with fire, and remember that almost all area counties have banned open burning.
