Michael “Mike” Eugene Lannan, 78, of Linton, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at Saint Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 24, 1942, in Loogootee Indiana, the son of Sam and Dola Lannan.
He loved farming and raising sheep and was an avid businessman in the town of Linton. Mike loved the Lord, was involved at Saint Peter Church, and loved life, his wife and family.
Mike is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Donna Lannan; children Lynette (Charles) Coffey, Blaine (Beth) Lannan, Jo (Kelly) Lannan and Jarman (Paulette) Lannan; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Norbert Lannan; sister Kay Lannan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; brothers Hubert Lannan, Merle Lannan Bernie Lannan; and sisters Lois, Millie Jones and Rita Mae.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Cox for his compassionate care, friendship and always being available to care for him.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, with Rev. Simon Natha officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with Rosary at 8 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
