Utility pole maintenance scheduled at Highway 57 and Brett Cabel Rd

power-outage

The City of Washington Power & Light Department has announced that weather permitting, there will be a planned power outage to replace a broken pole at Highway 57 and Brett Cabel Rd. The outage will take place on Thursday, September 24th beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will last approximately 4 hours or until the job is complete. The outage will include the Brett Cabel Rd. area affecting residences from N.E. 12th St. to Highway 57 North to include Lynwood Drive, Coronado Drive, and Northside Drive, as well as on Highway 57 N between Brett Cabel Rd. and Viola Avenue.

The City of Washington says they realize there is never a good time for an outage, and that they do their best to plan for them when weather is not an issue for customers -causing them disruption in heating and cooling in their homes. Crews will do all they can to complete the job as quick as possible.

Anyone with questions about the scheduled outage should contact the Randy Ennis, Superintendent of the Electric Department at 254-5171.
