Courthouse announces voter registration and early voting times

The election is less than two months away and it’s time to register to vote if you haven’t done so already. Any individual wishing to register, or change a name or address, can do so on October 5th at the Circuit Court Clerk’s office until 4pm. The Clerk’s office is located on the top floor of the courthouse and is open Monday through Friday from 8am until 4pm.

A person can also register or make a name or address change at the BMV as they renew their license or online at indianavoters.com. A photo ID issued by the state of Indiana with an expiration date is required to register. Valid forms of ID include an Indiana’s Drivers License or a US Passport.

Early walk-In voting for the November 3rd election will begin at the courthouse on Tuesday, October 6th, and will continue through Monday November 2nd at noon. Hours for voting are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. The courthouse will also be open for voting on Saturday, October 24th and October 31st, from 8am until 3pm for voters who cannot make it during regular office hours. People requiring a ballot be mailed to them, or who need assistance, should contact the Voter registration office.
