Indiana colleges cracking down on students holding large gatherings

College parties are becoming a larger problem for Indiana schools. Butler University announced Sunday that classes will transition to online-only meetings for the next two weeks. The school is placing the blame on students who chose to party instead of following social distancing guidelines. Butler released a statement saying “we have observed lack of compliance with health and safety guidelines among a relatively small proportion of our students.” Indiana University and Purdue University have also had their hands full with students holding large gatherings. Several dozen Purdue students have been suspended for violating the school’s coronavirus rules.
