Washington woman killed in crash by impaired driver

Yesterday afternoon Indiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-69 near Washington that claimed the life of a Washington woman.
Police say the crash occurred in the northbound lanes of I-69 at the 58 mile marker. The initial impact of the crash was determined to have occurred in the driving lane of the northbound lanes. The crash area covered approximately 350 feet of roadway.
A Moped driven by 24 year old Keirsten Arp of Washington, was traveling north in the northbound lane of I-69. A 2006 Pontiac, driven by 25 year old Jessica O’Bryan, of Evansville had also been traveling north in the northbound lane of I-69 and failed to see the moped, striking it from behind.
Arp sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. O’Bryan, was transported to the Daviess County Hospital for minor injuries. O’Bryan was initially charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Causing Death and is currently being held  Daviess County Jail.
