Faced with what Washington School Board President Randy Bouchie called “an excellent field of nine candidates, who would all have made great school board members”, the Board selected Scott Arthur to fill out the remainder of the term of the late Steve Bouchie.

Arthur is a Washington Township farmer.  He has served on the Daviess-Martin Farm Service Agency’s County Committee.  He was also recently named to the Daviess County Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.  Arthur has also spent the last eight years as a volunteer with the Washington Band Boosters and served as the organizations treasurer for the past six years.

While Arthur is honored to have been named to the School Board, he said it is not an appointment he wants to celebrate.

Arthur said he was humbled to ha been chosen from such a strong group of candidates.

Arthur will serve the remaining two years of Steve Bouchie’s term on the Washington School Board.
