city-council-2-5

The Washington City Council held its regular meeting Monday evening and heard a request from Shawn and Nathan Gabhart asking the City to vacate an undeveloped alley in Kensler’s Addition.  The Council will consider the request at its next meeting.

The Council also heard the first reading of a proposed ordinance that would rezone an area just north of the railroad tracks along Eastside Park Road from residential single family to residential two family.  The requested zoning change by Lengacher Construction has created controversy in the area of the property.  The Council will take final action on the proposed ordinance at the July 27th Council meeting.   A public hearing on the ordinance will be held just before the July 27th meeting.
