Steven Joseph Baker, 63, passed away on Thursday July 2, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Washington, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Jacqueline (Ellis) Baker of Loogootee, IN. He married Lisa J. Sexton on October 12, 1985 and she survives.
He was employed with several coal mines in Indiana and Kentucky throughout his life. Steve was a member of the Shoals Sons of American Legion, Eagles and VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching Cubs baseball, Colts football, anything IU, fishing, bowling, taking cruises, and walking on the beach.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Jacqueline, and his grandparents George and Maxine Baker.
He is survived by his Sons; Daniel (Lisa) Baker of Shoals, IN, Kenneth Brand (Samantha) Baker of Flat Rock, IL, daughter Candace (Travis) Roush, of Shoals, IN, his brothers; Michael Baker of Shoals, IN, Jamie (Lana) Baker of Bloomington, IN, sister, Kimberly (Roger) Kyger of Loogootee, IN, his grandchildren; Isaiah and Josie Roush, Mailey and Easton Baker, his uncles; Cecil (Linda) Baker, Gary (Rachel) Baker, Ronnie (Sandy) Baker, Junior (Carol) Baker all of Shoals, IN his brother- in-laws; Gary (Nancy) Sexton of Shoals, Jeffrey (Nina) Sexton of Loogootee, IN his sister-in-law Brenda Bearden of Shoals, IN, mother-in-law Minnie Ellen Baker of Shoals, IN and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday July 5, 2020 from 1:00 P.M until 4:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana.
