Two people are in jail after being caught with 8 pounds of marijuana in southern Indiana. The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a speeding car at around 2:00 p.m. Thursday. The two people, told deputies they were a married couple from Virginia, traveling to Missouri to visit family. During this traffic stop, Deputies smelled marijuana coming from inside the car. Deputies asked the two to exit the car and then began searching and found marijuana, edibles and hand-rolled marijuana cigarettes. There were, in total, 50 packages of edibles, weighing about 8 pounds. The woman told Deputies the drugs belonged to her, and that she was taking it to Missouri to give to her grandmother. Both were arrested and charged with Dealing Marijuana.
