Sharon A. Elliott, 82, of Hazleton, passed away at 8:48 am Friday, June 26, 2020 at her residence.
She was born April 13, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Richard and Bridget (Everett) VanPatten.
Sharon owned the White River Inn in Hazleton for several years and was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and 40 et 8 auxiliaries. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Carla Alldredge-Ice and her husband Chad of Decker, Sherri Elkins and her husband Larry of Rogersville, MO, and Bradley Elliott and his wife Nancy of Gulf Breeze, FL;
Her brothers Dennis VanPatten and his wife Vicki of Decker, Edward VanPatten and his wife Ruth of Roseville, CA, and Jerry VanPatten and his wife Geraldine of Fort Branch; her grandchildren Greg Elliott and his wife Julia, Dustin Rogers and his wife Misty, A.J. Alldredge, Tristan Hatton and her husband Daniel, Leah Shaw, Brandon Elkins, and Christopher Elkins; along with several great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Carl Elliott who she married on March 5, 1957 and preceded her on March 13, 2004; several brothers and sisters; along with two grandchildren Jarod and Jordan Elkins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 1, 2020 at Noon Eastern time at Hazleton Community Cemetery with Rev. Frank Harmon officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm Eastern time Tuesday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes.
