Two more coronavirus cases were confirmed in Daviess County Friday. That brings the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 133 in the county. The last update was on Wednesday. 1,458 people have been tested.
There was one new case reported in Knox County. That brings that county’s total of confirmed cases to 41. Nine are currently actively quarantined. One of those patients is hospitlized the others are home and doing well.
Dubois County reported their 6th death from COVID 19 and two more cases. They have now had 233 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic. Dubois County Health Officer Dr. Ted Walflart says the latest death serves an an unfortunate reminder to all of the Dubois County community about the importance of following the recommended guidelines to stop the spread. He adds it cannot be stressed enough to wear a mask when around others, social distance and wash your hands often.
