The Barr Reeve School Referendum on a tax levy question passed in Tuesday’s election.  Voters in Barr and Reeve Townships voted yes to allow an additional 25 cents per $100 of property valuation over the tax levy for the next 8 years to be used for operating expenses.  It replaces a similar referendum that passed 7 years ago for the same reason which ends this year.

School Superintendent Travis Madison gave credit to keeping the public informed as to what the referendum was as a reason for the school patrons supporting it…

The referendum passed with a 63 to 37% margin with 442 voting yes and 264 no.
