Thelma Jane Asdell, 75, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on December 8, 1944 in Daviess County, Indiana to Charles R. and Bonnie L. (Wilkerson) Nicholson. Thelma married Donald Asdell on April 22, 1964.
Thelma was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She was a housewife and enjoyed taking care of her home and family.
Family left to cherish the memory of Thelma include: three sons, Travis Owen Asdell of Odon, Randy Lee Asdell of Terre Haute and Brian Ray Asdell of Odon; one daughter, Wanda (Joe) Hines; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ted (Teresa) Nicholson of Alfordsville, Bruce (Annie) Nicholson of Loogootee, Gerald (Cindy) Nicholson of Loogootee and Carl Nicholson of Cannelburg; four sisters, Evelyn (Robert) Huffman of Washington, Shirley (John) Simmons of Plainville, Diane (Keith) Holloway of Loogootee and Nancy (Donnie) O’Neill of Cannelburg.
Thelma was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Asdell; her parents; granddaughter, Kayla Asdell; Brothers, Homer Nicholson, Eugene Nicholson and John Nicholson.
A private viewing and funeral service for family will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Thelma will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
