In a unanimous vote, the Barr Reeve School Board has approved a resolution to consolidate the corporation’s primary and elementary schools.
The Washington Times Herald quotes school superintendent Travis Madison as saying that each school has its own number with the state department of education and a form has to be filed to get the primary taken off.
The move is being made because; if school starts in August the K to 5 grades will be moved to the current elementary building.
Madison says the primary building, part of the St. Peters Church will stay under the school corporation’s umbrella at least through the coming winter.
