The Martin County Sheriff’s Department released details of a chase and arrest that took place Wednesday morning.
At 3:47 -am, while on patrol, Sgt. Tyler Reed with the Martin Co. Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle commit two moving violations. A traffic stop was initiated on Rusk Road. The vehicle turned onto Spencer Hollow Road and accelerated. Reed activated lights and sirens, the suspect vehicle blew a tire and stopped between Newlin Lane and Emmons Ridge Road. The officer conducted his stop and took the driver, Robert G. Roach 34 of French Lick into custody. Upon further investigation when a drug dog was called in, narcotics were found. Roach is charged with Possession of Meth, a Controlled Substance, Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended.
