The Knox County Health Department says Governor Eric Holcomb has clarified his directive concerning self serve food and beverage stations, stating they are not to be open to the public at this time.  All Knox County businesses that have such self-serve stations must shut them down in order to be in compliance with the state order.

Meanwhile, County Health Officer Dr. Alan Stewart says one new report of a positive case for the county may be an error. He says the state reporting system had documented a new positive for Knox County, which was tested out-of-county. However, health officials in the testing county cannot confirm the positive diagnosis as accurate. Health officials in both counties continue to investigate this case. For the time being, two patients out of the 20 that have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19 are scheduled to be released from home quarantine at the end of this week.
