Daviess Community Hospital says they are taking every precaution to secure safety when patients enter their outpatient clinics for care. In a Facebook post, Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner Alicia Fields says there have been changes to the visit experience as they have increased personal protection measures in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines. Fields says appointment times have been staggered and waiting rooms have been redesigned to limit the number of patients in one area. Also all care sites and the waiting areas are properly disinfected.
Fields says all employees, visitors and patients continue to be screened and are given a mask before entering the hospital. If you do have coronavirus symptoms you should call the hospital’s hotline before going to the hospital or outpatient clinic. That number is 812-254-2764.
