Brandon Lewis Smith

Brandon Lewis Smith, age 36, entered into rest on April 24, 2020 in Evansville, Indiana.
Brandon was born in Bedford, Indiana on November 27, 1983 to Ronald Gene Smith and Brenda Lee (Anderson) Smith. He was a 2002 graduate of Loogootee High School, and he attended classes at Vincennes University after high school.  He was liked and/or loved by his classmates of both, as he often made them laugh, and always made them smile.
He is survived by his daughter Elayna Gabrielle Smith, age 13, whom he loved with all his heart.  He is also survived by his parents, his older sisters Shannon Marie (Lance) Walton and Jessica Jo (Scott) Allen, nieces Payton (David) Vansant and Sydney Walton, nephew and niece Chase and Aaliyah Allen, great nephews  Noah and Nate Vansant, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, all whom loved him dearly.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis D. and Charity D. Smith, Betty Jo Smith, and Andy and Alice Anderson, as well as two uncles Daniel Lewis Smith and Jerry Lee Anderson.
Brandon will be remembered for his big heart, his love of baseball (especially the Cincinnati Reds), his smile/smirk, and the way he made others laugh and smile.  He was loved more than he ever could have known, and his family and friends find peace in knowing he can now fully see this love.
In lieu of flowers, as there will be no service and only a small graveside service due to current world circumstances, donations in Brandon’s memory may be made to Blake Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
Private services will be held at Scotland Cemetery.
Condolences may be made online at www.blakefuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements were provided by Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
