Daviess County Sheriff Gary Allison on Friday reported that a recently incarcerated inmate at the Daviess County Security Center has tested positive for coronavirus. Allison in his notice said that three deputies and three Washington City Officers and some others who had contact with the inmate have been tested and placed in quarantine.
Allison added that due to procedures already in place, the inmate has been kept in quarantine and has not been in general population. The sheriff also said public health officials have been notified and they are following the procedures recommended by the CDC and Indiana State Health Department. Every step is being taken Allison says to contain the spread.
