Two more cases in Daviess, one in Knox; it’s not a time to relax

             The Daviess County Health Department announced two more confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county. That brings the total number to 28.  The health department continues to work with local and state officials to ensure close contacts of the patients are identified and monitored.  All the patients are quarantined.

        In Knox County a new confirmed case was reported.  That is the 17th case in Knox County.  The new patient is quarantine at home.  Also, an additional COVID-19 patient has been released from quarantine in Knox County and another is expected to be released today. 

        Meanwhile the Knox County Emergency Management Joint Information Center is reporting that even though recent reports are that Indiana and the nation has reached or is reaching the peak of the virus, now is the not the time to relax they say.  They encourage and plead for the community to continue social distancing saying that predictive models estimate the local peak is still a few weeks away.
