Daviess County cases now top 30

The Daviess County Health Department announces as of the time of this release, there are a total of 31 confirmed positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Daviess County and one previously reported death.

DCHD is working closely with the local and state officials to ensure that close contacts of the
patients are identified and monitored and that all infection control protocols are being followed.

The patients have been placed in quarantine. No additional information about the patients will be released due to privacy laws.

The Knox County Joint Information Center reported this afternoon one more positive cases.  Knox County positive cases now number 18.  The new patient is in fair condition in the hospital according to Knox County Health Department.    One patient was released today with nine more expected to be released this weekend.
