Cold front moves in creating storms

The first major storms of the spring season rolled through last night complete with high winds and dangerous lightning. There were numerous trees, limbs and power line reported down.  Thousands were without power.  Win-Energy, Duke, Daviess Martin REMC, and Washington Municipal Utilities all had customers without service.

There were 2 reports of semis rolling over  on I69 at mile marker 72 in Daviess County last night. One call went out at 9:09-pm the other at 9:38.      It may have been result of high winds in the storm.    No injuries to report.  A another truck blown over in the same manner in Knox County.

There were 6 poles and lines down on East Pine Tree Road reported at 11:55 last night…the result of storms in the area.

On 800-East at Elnora, there was a report of a tree down in front of a tractor on the road.
