Local shopper Jeff Brown says people are hoarding up items till there is nothing left for their neighbor. People are not helping each other he says.
In a story by Hazel Rodimel and Mike Grant in today’s Washington Times Herald, locals were expressing their frustration of not being able to find what they need at grocery stores due to the increased buying amid the pandemic.
Stores have had to cut their hours and use the time they are closed to restock shelves. Wal-Mart’s Asset Protection Manager Tracey Fowler told the Times Herald that items are pretty much just going from truck to shelf.
Shoppers have also been gathering outside stores in the mornings waiting for them to open. Those crowds are not practicing social distancing. Which health officials say can and will increase the spread of thus not making things get any easier any faster.
