The Daviess County Heath Department says they continuing to monitor the current situation and are doing all they can to protect the public.  With that, more businesses and community gathering places are closing.

The department met with their partners from public safety, EMA, schools, elected officials, private industry, healthcare and others discussing COVID-19 operations and response protocols of each agency.  After news of Indiana’s first death and social restrictions handed down by the state yesterday, Daviess County libraries, fitness centers, the YMCA,  Indiana Movie Theater in Washington and Kingpin Bowling Center are closed.  More may be coming.

All off site immunization clinics hosted by the local health department are cancelled.

There are no virus cases in Daviess County as of this time.
