COVID-19 cancels, postpones or changes scheduled local events

        Local events cancelled in response to COVID-19 include the first two concerts in the Washington Community Concert Series are postponed.  Those are the performance of “Purple Veins” a Prince tribute set for this weekend and a concert featuring local musician Bob Arthur set for next month.  New dates have not been announced.

        A job fair by the Daviess County ECDC was to be held last evening but wasn’t.  Two others are still scheduled to take place.  Those are March 18th in Montgomery and March 26th in Odon.

        The Corning Irish Heritage Center’s St. Patrick’s Day event is cancelled. 

        You know by now about the IHSAA Regionals playing without fans this weekend. 

    Washington High School’s Winter Percussion has decided to end their season.  The state Percussion Association cancelled state prelims in Indy.  The Indiana Swimming Senior State Championships scheduled for this weekend at IUPUI also cancelled.

        If you have a question about whether your event will go on, call those in charge.   But if you abide by state guidelines, event crowd sizes are limited to 250 people.  Some events may go on, but without a crowd.
