Former Executive Director of the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation and former School Board member Ron Arnold has formally announced his candidacy for Daviess County Commissioner in District 1.
In his press release he said he’s proud of what the EDC Board and Economic Development Foundation Board have accomplished including being founders of the Westgate Technology Park and the construction of the Olon, EG&G, Alliance Barrier, CSX Cross Dock Building and CORE Center. He says to attract development along I69 and at Westgate, government officials need to be fully engaged and continue to develop the land in those areas.
Arnold is running as a Republican and is challenging current District 1 Commission Tom McCracken on the May 5th ballot.
