The Washington Police Department is notifying the public concerning restrictions around or near the Hatchet House during the Regional Basketball games this weekend.
They are advising schools participating in the games to advise students of proper parking and for the media in the cities involved to caution adult drivers to observe parking regulations.
Violations include parking on painted yellow lines; in violation of warning signs; across or on sidewalks; between street barricades that are obviously no parking zones; parking in alleys; blocking driveways and entrances to parking lots and in posted fire lanes.
Washington PD will be strictly enforcing parking regulations around school property this weekend. Announcements on violations won’t be made during games. If you can’t find your vehicle when the games are over call the Washington Police Department administration number 812-254-4410.
