Terre Haute police shooting being investigated

At the request of Terre Haute PoliceDetectives from the Indiana State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting that happened around midnight last night
Around 12:00 a.m., Terre Haute Police made a traffic stop at 6270 Wabash Avenue.
Shortly after the stop was made, backup officers arrived and then there was a physical altercation with the passenger of the vehicle.
During this altercation, the subject pulled a gun.  Two officers then pulled their weapons and shot the subject.
That person was then taken to Regional Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and currently remains hospitalized.
One Terre Haute Police officer was transported to Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.
All Terre Haute Police officers involved in this incident have been placed on administrative leave, which is customary in police-involved shootings.
Terre Haute Police officers involved in the shooting are Sergeant Adam Loudermilk, fifteen years of service, and Patrol Officer Daniel L. Johnson, three years of service.
Indiana State Police say that once their investigation is complete, their report will be forwarded to the Vigo County Prosecutor.
