February was the 10th wettest February on record for Southwest Indiana. That’s according to the National Weather Service’s Climate Summary for the 2nd month of 2020.
Much of the area received up to 4 inches above normal precipitation for the month and mostly in the form of rain. Snowfall was well below normal with nothing really measurable other than a dusting to several 10ths of an inch. Temps for February averaged up to 2 degrees above normal with no prolonged warm or cold spells. The warmest day of February was February 3rd when it got up to around 70. The coldest day was February 14th when we had subfreezing highs and lows in the teens with wind chills at 0 or below.
