A brief police chase in Warrick County ended after the suspect crashed into a Boonville business.
Indiana State Police were patrolling on Main in Boonville at 7:30 last night. A traffic stop was initiated on a Chevy Trailblazer with improper plates. The driver turned into the McDonald’s but didn’t stop and drove around the restaurant twice and then back out onto Locust Street going 45 in a 30 mph zone nearly hitting another vehicle. He swerved to miss the car and left the road, slid through the Boonville Post Office lot and hit a light. He then struck a building with several people inside. He tried to back up but the Blazer was too damaged.
37-year-old Joshua Taylor of Lamar, Indiana was arrested for Reckless Driving, Criminal Recklessness, Driving While Suspended and Possession of Paraphernalia.
