The Washington Fire Department was called out at 6:54 this morning to a garage fire. It was at 200 Bernard Avenue. There were no injuries.
Fire Chief Steve Walden says the property is owned and occupied by Rebecca Johnson. The detached garage was totally destroyed. A jeep that was parked outside sustained some fire damage as did the siding to the nearby home. There were no injuries. The cause is still being investigated.
