Local officials encourage you to attend Mid-State Corridor Hearings

The Mid State Corridor and where it goes, is as important as I69.  That’s what some say when it comes to choosing the route of the corridor planned to run from around Rockport near from the Ohio north through Dubois County and linking in to I69 somewhere. There are 10 possible routes and that will be cut down to one by fall.  Public Hearings that will gather feedback will help determine where that route goes.

Daviess County Highway Superintendent Phil Cornelius addressed the county commissioners and council last week encouraging them and everyone to  attend the hearings

The first of 3 public hearings is tomorrow at Loogootee High School.  The others are Wednesday at Bedford North Lawrence Middle School and Thursday at Jasper Middle School. The doors open at 5:30 with a presentation at 6-pm.
