Elizabeth “Betty” L. Sneed age 88 passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her residence.
She was born January 18, 1932 to Hubert and Camilla (Smith) Healey in Montgomery, Indiana. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1950. She married Paul Riester June 5, 1952. Betty was a homemaker and worked as a beautician. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, D of I and Legion of Mary. Sheloved the Lord and participated in supporting several Catholic charities to help under aged children in South America throughout her life.
Betty is survived by her sons Doug (Jackie) Riester of Georgia, Barry (Gloria) Riester of Washington, Scott (Mary) Riester of Virginia and Brian (Shirley) Riester of Wisconsin; daughters Tracy Ann Riester of Kentucky and Sharon C. Riester of Florida; stepson Gordon Glenn Sneed II and stepdaughter Pamela Grisanti of Noblesville and many grand and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Riester, her second husband Gordon G. Sneed (October 2020) and a daughter Linda McDaniel.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2020 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 Viola Street from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Washington, Indiana on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00am with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery next to her first husband, Paul Riester.
