The Indiana Department of Local Government and Finance now has 10 days to approve or reject a question on the ballot concerning a Barr Reeve Referendum.

The School Board last night approved the question asking for a 25 cent levy per $100 of assessed property value to pay for school improvements.  The levy would replace an referendum tax that is expiring.

The Washington Times Herald reports that public meetings providing information on the tax and referendum will be held prior to the May 5th primary election.  The question, if approved will appear on the ballot for those who live in the Barr Reeve School School district.
