Graber Post located on County Road 900-East is expanding.  Construction has already started on new buildings.

The company has requested tax abatement from Daviess County in the amount of $6 million for property and equipment.  The County Council on Wednesday gave approval to move forward with the abatement request.  It’s not been granted yet but the ball is rolling and all of the council voiced their support for the company.  County Council President Kent Norris…

The abatement has also been endorsed by the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation.  The project expands the truss and laminated post departments of the company.  The expansion will create 5 to 10 new jobs at $13 to $17 per hour.

The abatement schedule has not been set and it will be closer to spring before a final vote on the request is taken.
