Brenda Jo Chesser, 72 of Washington, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 with her sons and sisters by her side.
She was born in Plainville, IN to the late Paul Slatton and Janet Reynolds Slatton. Brenda was a believer in angels, god and family, and the promise of heaven. She lived her life for her children and giving, and then later, her grandchildren and family. She was a 1965 graduate of Plainville High School and cherished the memory of growing up in small town Plainville and its people and families.
Brenda worked various jobs in retail and clerical work to maintain her home and provide for her children, putting all above herself. She worked in the security field prior to retirement. Brenda always enjoyed the many friends she made at work and delighted in bringing food or surprises to people she loved to talk with.
Brenda was an avid reader, loved old movies, the porch swing and wind chimes, and playing cards and board games, especially with her grandchildren later in life. Brenda loved to exchange jokes and have fun, especially with her family whom she loved above life itself.
She leaves behind; two sons, Steve Chesser (Wife Jodie), Ryan Chesser (Partner Carla Stone); grandchildren, Nicole and Kourtney Chesser, and Carla’s children Logan and Hallie Hill; and Tylah Mandabach, as-well-as her Mother, Janet Slatton age 90, and two sisters, Paula Lee and Dena Lyon and their spouses Harold “Sach” Lee and Brant Lyon, whom Brenda loved as brothers.
Services are entrusted to Gill Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2020 and will be private to honor Brenda’s wishes. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery. You may leave the family an online condolence at www.gillsince1872.com.
