Clifford Lannan, 89, of Loogootee, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home.
He was born June 8, 1930 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mary Leola (Melton) Lannan.
Clifford was a United States Army veteran and spent time overseas in Germany. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the St. Martin Men’s Club and a past member of St. Vincent De Paul.
Clifford’s lifelong farming career was devoted to Lannan Farms Incorporated. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Mae Lannan; parents, Joseph and Mary Leola Lannan; brothers, Donald, Paul, Dan, Tom, Jimmy and Bill Lannan; sisters, Kate Gilley, Carolyn Clements, Rose Arney, Mary Arney.
Clifford is survived by his children, Kenny (Jennifer) Lannan of Loogootee, Karen (Tom) Johnson of Largo, Florida, Janet (Larry) Haag of Terre Haute, Greg (Denise) Lannan of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kathy (Don) Collison of Washington and Sharon Lannan of Loogootee; grandchildren, Brian Lannan, Eric Lannan, Kevin Lannan, Amy Gentry, Kristin Miles, Erin Collison, Alexandria Shake, Jordan Davis and Colten Davis; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Lannan, John Lannan and Wilma Sinnott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Martin Cemetery Association.
