After 10 years in his seat, State Representative Ron Bacon of Chandler, who represents District 75 has announced his retirement.  District 75 covers portions of Pike, Warrick and Spencer Counties in Southwest Indiana.

In his announcement, Bacon said it’s been an honor serving but has fought allergies for decades and is sensitive to mold and mildew.  He said his doctors recommend he spend less time at the statehouse which he said is a contributing factor to his allergies.

He said he has a passion for public service and will run for a Warrick County government position.  Prior to being elected to the statehouse  in 2010, Bacon served on the Warrick County Council and as a coroner.
