Judy K. Myers, 72, passed away at 4:17 pm on December 31, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Judy was born on February 3, 1947 in Daviess County, IN the daughter of Carl Jr. and Cornelia “Connie” Mayfair (Tevebaugh) Frederick of Petersburg. She married Daniel L. Myers on August 1, 1969.
Judy had attended Bethany Christian Church with her husband Dan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Oakland City University and her master’s degree in education from Indiana University. Judy retired from the Barr Reeve Community School Corporation after teaching 4th grade for thirty-seven years. She also enjoyed playing bridge, antiquing, river fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel L. Myers of Washington; brother, Dale Frederick and his wife Terri of Winslow; nephews, Derick Brothers of Vincennes, Gavin Brothers and his wife Maria of Evansville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Ruth Ann Myers, Reba Allen, Larry and Shirley Oetzel as well as Wayne and Zondra Myers; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may visit with Judy’s family from 4-8 pm on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN and from 10 am until the hour of service time of 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Roy Ice and Rev. Dale Frederick will officiate, and Judy will be laid to rest in Bethany Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Myers family with arrangements.
