Arrests, accident and incidents

-A North Daviess man was jailed on Thursday for Possession of Meth, Criminal Trespassing, Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief.  No bond was set for 25-year-old Xavier Fuesler of Elnora.  The arrest came after a 10:54-am report of a man breaking window on a building in the 100 block of West Main in Washington.  A witness gave police a description and police saw the alleged suspect on the next block.   The man ran after he saw police and went into the Storehouse building and hid in a boiler room.  Police found Fuesler along with several broken cell phones, some small tools and an ID and wallet that were not his.  After further investigation Fuesler was long formed on the charges and later arrested.

-21-year-old Josephine L. Henson of Washington was arrested on a warrant Thursday for a Petition to Revoke a Suspended Sentence for Possession of Meth, Battery on Law Enforcement, Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief. No bond was set.

-Christopher J. Clark 42 of Washington, was arrested Thursday on warrants for Failure to Appear.  Bond was set at $15,000.

-A semi hit a deer at 4:45-am Thursday morning. That was on State Road 57 and Sandy Hook.

-Emergency teams were called to 100 North and 350-East at just before 7 on Thursday morning. Two vehicles had been involved in an accident.  2 people were transported to the hospital.  The Daviess county Sheriff’s Department, DCH Ambulance Service, Air Evac and the Washington Township Fire Department all responded.

-A caller reported an abandoned vehicle in a creek on 225-West yesterday afternoon.

-There was a two vehicle accident without injuries on State Road 57 and Ohio Street at 5:45-pm yesterday.

-A vehicle slid off into a ditch overnight. There was no damage or injuries in the incident at 150-West and Old 50.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department investigated a theft report at the Gasthof Village.  Reports say a window was broken and items were taken.
