The fee for license plates for horse and buggies in Daviess County could likely be increasing.

The Daviess County Commissioners and the Amish Safety Committee met recently and agreed that the cost should rise from $60 to $75.

Commissioner Nathan Gabhart says everyone was in agreement on the increase..

The fees are used to offset the cost of damage caused by horses on blacktopped roads.

A final vote on the measure will be taken at the Daviess County Commissioners meeting to be held the evening of December 10th at the Shiloh Center.
