Mrs. Savannah Pamnena Warren

Mrs. Savannah Pamnena Warren died on Nov. 23, at the Villages at Oakridge in Washington, 8 days after her 109th birthday. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IL, to Don and Grace Allen. Mrs. Warren was one of thirteen children. Savannah was the third to be born, and the only one to have survived the others.

She married Burl Warren in 1931, Burl died in 1966. They had two sons, Ronnie and Larry Warren. Ronnie joined the US Navy. During his time of service for his country, he had a mental breakdown and has spent the last 27 years of his life in the Veteran’s Hospital. Larry Warren of Washington, is the only survivor.

Funeral services will be held at the Calvary Holiness Church in Petersburg on Wednesday. Viewing will be from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, with the Service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Craig Line will officiate. Burial will be in the Twin Oaks Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
