The North Daviess Cross Country and Track Coach, Miles Kreiger addressed the school board last night about a Cougar Community Activity Track.

The Washington Times Herald newspaper   reports it’s a 1.25 mile walking and running path for students and the community.  Krieger says there’s interest in the community for such an amenity as 92 kids are now a part of the North Daviess Running Club started by him and his wife.  The coach has already applied for a $50,000 grant from Toyota that, if received, would cover the cost of the track and Boys and Sons he says has offered some of their equipment for the work.

The school board was supportive of the project but made no decision and wants some more information and research before giving their approval.
