Indiana’s governor is going to miss Tuesday’s massive teacher rally at the State Capitol. Governor Eric Holcomb’s office says the governor will instead be at the Republican Governors Association conference in Florida. That conference was scheduled months ago. Thousands of teachers from over 100 Indiana school districts are expected to flood the Capitol tomorrow as part of a Red for Ed rally. Many school districts have canceled classes for Tuesday so that educators can make their thoughts known ahead of the 2020 legislative session. They want more money and changes to teacher accountability laws.

Some area school districts that have cancelled school due to the rally are Washington, North Daviess and Pike County.
