(NETWORK INDIANA) He’s going for it again. Curtis Hill wants to be your attorney general for another term, to crack down on violent crime and protect the most vulnerable, he said in a news release early today.
Hill recently testified in a judicial discipline hearing, accused of inappropriately touching several women at a downtown Indy bar. The governor and several other state leaders, also members of the Republican party, called for Hill to resign when the accusations became public.
Hill ignored those happenings in his campaign video, released Thursday.
“Strength and courage have marked my career as a prosecutor and forged my continuing commitment to freedom and the rule of law,” he said in the video.
“Over the last three years, I have worked to fulfill my pledge to Hoosiers: from cracking down on violent criminals to protecting the most vulnerable in our society. Standing for what’s right is harder than ever, but I do it every day with courage and conviction as Attorney General, and I’m just getting started. That’s why, today, I am announcing my re-election campaign for Attorney General. Indiana needs strength, courage, and bold conservative leadership,” said Hill in his announcement.
“At a time when freedom and our way of life are under attack, I’ll continue to work with President Trump, and others, on important issues facing our nation and state. I’ll never back down from partisan attacks, the media, and even Republicans embarrassed to defend our values,” said Hill.
Hill was elected AG in 2016. He’s the former Elkhart County prosecutor.
