The Daviess County Council has approved putting Automated External Defibrillators in all of the county’s sheriff’s department patrol vehicles.

The request was made by the County Health Nurse Wednesday.  Kathy Sullender says money collected for immunizations will pay for the devices known as AEDs.

The Washington Times Herald reports that Sullender reported that 27 machines will be bought at a deal and each will have a shock box to protect from the temperatures.  Deputies will receive training on the devices.
